The Bilston Town Floodlit Cup was created in 2009/10, and was - and still is - the only midweek junior competition where every game is played under floodlights, at Bilston Town FC.
It really is a unique competition that brings together teams from across the Midlands, and offers them the professional experience of playing midweek, under lights, in a stadium, here at Bilston Town, with three appointed officials on every game played.
Limited to 32 teams and played throught the season on a Tuesday and Thursday night it offers teams the chance to play against teams they would never normally meet in circumstances most of these players will never experience again.
From it's very inception it has caught the imagination of the teams involved, and every year the 32 places are quickly taken up, with several more teams on a 'waiting list' should anyone drop out.
Sponsored by the Rotary Club of Bilston, the teams not only compete for the prestigious Floodlit Cup Trophy and Title of Midlands Champions, the winners also receive £100 prize money, courtesy of the Bilston Rotary Club.
