FOOTBALL OVERVIEW
GIVING PLAYERS THE TOOLS THROUGH EDUCATION AND FOOTBALL TO SUCCEED
Bilston Town Football Club First team play in the West Midlands Regional Premier Division which is step 5 of the Non-League Football Pyramid Structure.
The Youth teams (Under 18) will play in the Midland Floodlit Youth League and the British National Colleges League.
The football program will be varied with the opportunity to represent the club at senior level as well as Youth team level and play in the prestigious FA Youth Cup.
Training will be delivered following our very own coaching curriculum to help aid development of youth team players and prepare them for senior football.
With a focus on the FA four corner modal training sessions will be around the technical, physical, social and psychological components along with tactical development and training will involve squad practices, small group work, individual work as well as game based learning.
Each Scholar will have regular 6 week reviews with coaching staff where 'SMART' targets will be set to challenge the Scholar to help aid there development.
All coaches on the programme will be employed by Bilston Town Academy and will be UEFA/ FA qualified coaches with a minimum of FA Level 2 and FA Youth Module 1 and 2.
All staff will have a clean DBS Check, Safeguarding, First Aid and prevent training.
Bilston Town Football Club hope to reduce the increasing fall out of organised 11v11 football post 16 & 18, where the alarming drop can be attributed to several factors, notably change in priorities, work life balance, lack of opportunities and unfulfilment of potential/talent.
We would also like to offer an Sports based education for our local community and can achieve this by offering the opportunity for Scholars to learn, develop, improve and progress not only as football players but people within our club.
